„What I do is experimental color printing. I strive to convey the uncapturable, to grasp the ungraspable. I love life, it’s a great miracle. I work with a printer directly in the studio; I want to get beyond what we know, what isn‘t measurable and what we cannot understand or say. This way of working directly in the print shop, in my view, corresponds most with living in constant change as we do now. In the past, I used to do animals, in a fanciful surrealist manner. Nowadays I’m interested in the universe, full of unknown beings. I try to depict the light and special atmosphere of the ambiguous and infinite universe. I always make only a few prints, which vary in coloring or detail.  Then, all of them are originals.“

Nadezda Synecka

Curator Alena Laufrova:

Nadezda Synecka combines the techniques of etching and drypoint with expressive dynamic drawing. The presented prints suggest meditations on the forces of nature, the universe and the depths of the human soul. Synecka creates unique, grand compositions as if running beyond the paper, occupying their own space. She combines simple forms, evoking tense and calm relations.

Nadezda Synecka´s monumental prints offer the viewer a look into the infinity of universe.
